To measure for Standard Size Plantation
Shutters, use a steel tape measure to ensure accuracy. Measure your width
and height at three points each as shown in the picture. Use only the largest measurements.
You
will also want to measure your window's backspace. The backspace of a window ensures proper louver clearance and operation. Standard
Size Plantation Shutters require at least 5/8" of backspace. When measuring backspace, be sure to take into consideration
anything which may inhibit the louvers from opening all the way. This may be window trim, locks, opening cranks, or
even the window itself.
