The measurements shown in the tables
below are:
-
width - from
the outside of one hanging strip to the outside of the opposite hanging strip (see illustration). Width shown in table
includes hanging strips.
-
height - from
the bottom to the top of the shutter panels (see illustration)
Choosing
the correct size for your Standard Sized Plantation Shutters:
-
Choose a size that is at least 2-1/8
inches wider than your window so that you can mount the hanging strips. Do not
go more than 6 inches wider than your window or your louvers may overlap the wall.
-
Choose a height that covers your window. Do not go more than 3 inches higher than your window or your louvers may overlap the
wall.
-
Feel free to stack Standard
Sized Plantation Shutter Sets on top of each other to cover taller windows, but make sure the combined shutter height is not
more than 3 inches higher than your window. Shorter Plantation Shutter Sets also
make great cafe' shutters!
Sizes and Pricing for Standard Size Shutter Sets
Stained Golden Oak or Painted White

Unfinished (ready to finish)

Notes:
- The size of the shutter panels alone can be calculated by subtracting 2 1/4 inches from the width shown in
the table. For example, a 32 1/4" wide set is made of two shutter panels totalling 30" wide (15" each panel) and two
hanging strips with hinge gaps and allowances totalling 2-1/4".
-
If you are looking to cut down your standard sized plantation
shutters, each shutter panel can be shaved up to 1/2" each side (1" total width reduction) and 1/2" top and bottom
(1" total height reduction).
-
Colors for the sets are Sherwin Williams Extra White (painted) and
Sherwin Williams Golden Oak (stained).
